Bianca Del Rio is NOT Impressed

Bianca Del Rio as Eva PerĂ³n

Bianca Del Rio graces the cover of Next Magazine's 2012 Summer Yearbook in her gorgeous Evita dress, shot by Kevin Thomas Garcia.

We were lucky to be able to shoot in Central Park on a gorgeous day and the photos turned out amazingly well. I took a lot of behind the scenes footage which will be released soon after the magazine hits stands this Friday so stay tuned for all the whacky adventures we had off camera!

Benvenuti a Capri, Part II

The view from our rooftop brunch at Il Relais Maresca

One of my favorite things about Italy was having delicious, gourmet meals in the most picturesque locations. We had wine with just about every meal and were regularly served Capri's signature liqueur, the Limoncello, after finishing dinners. I only went out to a club once the entire trip and was pretty turned off by the experience for two reasons. It was, first and foremost, annoyingly difficult trying to determine whether a guy was gay or simply European and secondly no one could dance. White people, I'm telling you...

If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet

Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Gomez, Annie Funke, and Brian F. O’Byrne

Thanks to my best friend, Jason, I saw my first Broadway play this weekend. We went to see the Roundabout Theatre Company's off-Broadway production of If There Is I Haven't Found It Yet, the story of how a dysfunctional family comes together to solve their problems. The play, by British playwright Nick Payne, received positive reviews in London in 2009 and now stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michelle Gomez, Annie Funke, and Brian F. O'Byrne.

Benvenuti a Capri, Part I

This past July and August marked my first ever, but definitely not my last, trip to Europe. I spent my first Italian holiday on the island of Capri, off the coast of Naples, in southern Italy. My hotel, Il Relais Maresca, was located in Marina Grande with an amazing view of the bay and docks from my personal balcony. I immediately noticed the bright blue color of the ocean upon docking and was amazed by the clarity of the water. You can't find anything like this back in the States, folks. Since my first taste of real Italian food was at the airport in Naples my taste buds and stomach were more than ecstatic upon my first real bite of a genuine Italian pizza margherita.

Daniel Nardicio Presents Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming at the Ice Palace on Fire Island

Photo by Christian Hansen for The New York Times

Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming performing together on Fire Island... is quite possibly the gayest thing I've had the amazing privilege to experience, and glitter practically flies out of my mouth every time I speak. Daniel Nardicio brought the pair out to the Ice Palace in Cherry Grove on Saturday, August the 4th for which, needless to say, myself and every other queen saved the date upon first hearing of the event. The tickets sold out before anyone could even say "Judy" so Daniel thankfully added a second showing, to which my friends and I got VIP tickets so we could be as close to Liza as legally possible.
